Welcome to the home of groundbreaking innovation in biomedical AI – Solutions of Artificial Intelligence Applications (SAIA). Founded in 2004, we are a Romanian research organization (NGO) and a global leader in the biomedical applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI), with a special focus on oncology. At SAIA, we have been pioneers in using Data Science and AI long before these fields gained their current prominence. Our journey began during the “AI winter,” a period when the term AI was often avoided, but we saw its immense potential and chose to explore it fearlessly.

Our Mission

Our mission is to revolutionize healthcare through advanced AI solutions, making non-invasive, highly accurate diagnostic tests a reality. In 2006, we discovered the potential of AI to develop tests that could replace invasive procedures like liver biopsies, marking a significant breakthrough in medical diagnostics.

SAIA's Expertise & Team

  • SAIA’s AI-based platform, especially our Deep Learning technologies, can learn and transform raw omics and imaging data into precise predictions for diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment responses. This disease-agnostic platform creates transparent, personalized models explained at the molecular level, and even suggests personalized treatments.
     

  • We specialize in intelligent clinical decision support systems, and our innovative AI system, RODES (Reversing Ordinary Differential Equations Systems), models time course data with remarkable accuracy. By applying it to pharmacological omics data, we've pushed the boundaries of what's possible in biomedical research.
     

  • Our use of Intelligent Automation (IA) streamlines biomedical workflows, embedding AI to automate and enhance research processes. This integration of AI ensures the best practices are implemented consistently, driving superior outcomes in biomedical research.
     

  • Our interdisciplinary team comprises neurologists, oncologists, molecular biologists, biomedical informaticians, and specialists in Machine and Deep Learning. This diverse expertise allows us to contribute to every aspect of our projects, from extracting biomedical best practices to developing clinical decision support systems and facilitating communication between ICT AI and biomedical teams.
