Artificial Intelligence Expert (AIE) was founded in 2017 as a spin-off of SAIA, building on SAIA’s longstanding legacy of AI research and biomedical innovation since its inception in 2004. Recognizing the growing potential of their diagnostic research—particularly in oncology—the founders of SAIA established AIE to bring these scientific breakthroughs into real-world medical applications.

While AIE operates independently, the two organizations maintain a strong and collaborative partnership, united by common goals and an overlapping core team. SAIA continues to focus on foundational research, interdisciplinary AI applications, and academic partnerships, while AIE serves as the commercialization engine, transforming research insights into certified products and services.
